I Robin
Krauss Owner/Operator SKY-TALK-IT PRODUCTIONS began my career as a "Roadie" for many bands.
A Roadie moves, sets-up and tears down all
equipment quickly and efficiently. A Roadie must be on call 24-Hours a day, ready to travel at anytime.
Being a Roadie is a good opportunity to
see what a band's needs are, and to become knowledgeable about everything involved in producing and setting up a band or stage.
One day, at the end of 1990, I met a band called Rakis, and became one of their Roadies. About one year later, during one
of the shows, Sue the lady in charge of the lights, asked me to do lights for a little while. On the very next break Rakis
asked, "What happened to Sue?" I said, "She took a break". The next thing I knew the band was asking me to be permanent lighting
person. That's how I got started doing lights.
Rakis opened for the following bands in California: Lonesome Dave's FogHat twice, in 1991 at the Cotati Cabaret and in 1992
at the City Limits in Santa Rosa.
Molly Hatchet and Quiet Riot also in 1991 at Cotati Cabaret. NightRanger in 1992 at the
City Limits.
And in 1993 Greg Kin and Cats Choir at the Ukiah Fair Grounds at Carl Purdy Hall.
I now have worked with many bands over the years. I now have 18 plus years Roadie experience, 15 plus years Lighting
experience, 12 plus years Independent Contractor, and 11 plus years Owner/Operator Sky-Talk-It Productions.
Even though our preference is doing lights for music, we have run and
set up lights for many plays at the Willits Community Theatre over the past 10 years, including some of the following plays
and performances: Top Girls, Egad the Woman in White, Seven Keys to Baldpate, Bullshot Crummond, The Emperor's New Clothes,
Kindred Souls and the Willits Improv Group and The Emandal Chorale, Dracula, The 100th Monkey, Santa Land Diaries, Agatha
Christie's Mousetrap; Comedians Sherry Glaser, Swami from Beyondananda, Richard Stockton; helped with three Lighting Workshops
and many other W.C.T. productions. We also have done all the lighting for the Willits Shakespeare Company over the past 7
years. Plays have been done at W.C.T. in the past and are now done at W.S.C.'s own place at 1195 So. Main Street. Those plays
are: The Comedie of Errors, Romeo and Juliet, Love's Labours Lost, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, MacBeth, A Midsummer
Night's Dream, Taming of the Shrew, and The Twelfth Night. Love's Labours Lost was actually a joint production with W.S.C.
and W.Y.A.T.(Willits young Actors Theater) held at the Willits High School Auditorium. So we are experienced in many different types of stage lighting.
We also do an Annual Music Festival called DANCE FOR FREEDOM. It is a Benefit for Fibromyalgia Resreach. And dedicated
to all loved ones who have passed on before us.
It has been running for eight years
now. It is going on to its ninth year. For those of you counting. For more info CLICK HERE

we can keep it running.

The name SKY-TALK-IT means "recognized by many people". It was a Native American name
given to me by a man named Melvin Chiloquin, from Oregon. He did the whole naming ceremony, calling on the Ancestors to find
my name. I didn't use it much until I started this company back in 1994
